Role Overview

We are looking for a Content Engineer — a technical writer ready to expand into a dynamic, cross-functional role that bridges Engineering and Marketing. This is an emerging discipline that builds on traditional technical writing while adding strategic content creation, SEO/GEO optimization, and brand voice development.

As a Content Engineer, your foundation in technical documentation remains essential: you will create developer guides, API references, and architecture explanations. But you will also collaborate with marketing to craft thought leadership content, optimize for search discoverability, and help establish Aletyx’s distinctive voice across all channels.

This is the evolution of technical writing for the modern enterprise. You will work cross-functionally — partnering with engineers to translate complex technology into clear explanations, while also working with marketing to amplify our message and reach new audiences.

The ideal candidate is a skilled technical writer who is curious about the broader content landscape and excited to grow into a hybrid role that combines technical depth with marketing impact.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain technical documentation across the Aletyx product family:
  • Developer guides and tutorials
  • API and SDK references
  • Architecture overviews
  • Concept explanations (DMN, MCP, engine internals, microservice packaging, runtime behavior)
  • Release notes and technical announcements
• Expand into marketing content in collaboration with the marketing team:
  • SEO and GEO-optimized articles to improve organic discoverability
  • Thought leadership pieces and industry commentary
  • Company voice and tone content
  • Case studies, use cases, and customer-facing narratives
• Bridge Engineering and Marketing by translating technical innovations into compelling stories for diverse audiences
• Help define and maintain content standards, style guides, and brand voice across all written materials
• Contribute to content strategy discussions and learn to analyze content performance
• Stay current on content engineering trends, AI-assisted content workflows, and emerging best practices
• Independently drive content initiatives while collaborating across teams in a remote-first environment

What We’re Looking For

Required

• 3+ years of experience as a technical writer in software or developer-focused environments
• Strong command of English; able to write with clarity, structure, and precision
• Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts such as:
  • APIs
  • Microservices
  • Engine runtimes
  • Containers and cloud-native architecture
  • Decision modeling / automation concepts
• Comfortable interviewing engineers and working hands-on with technical materials
• Self-driven, proactive, and able to operate in a remote, engineering-centric culture
• Ability to create clear content without needing a pre-existing documentation framework
• Interest in expanding beyond traditional technical writing into marketing content, SEO, and brand voice

Nice to Have

• Experience with enterprise software, integration platforms, or developer tools
• Familiarity with rule engines (Drools) or decision modeling (DMN)
• Experience writing about AI/ML, LLMs, or GenAI concepts
• Experience with markdown-based documentation workflows and Git
• Strong diagramming or visual communication skills (Mermaid, PlantUML, Excalidraw, etc.)
• Exposure to SEO principles, content marketing, or analytics
• Interest in GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and emerging AI search trends
• Background or curiosity in content strategy and growth marketing
