Role Overview
We are seeking an Associate DevSecOps Engineer to join our infrastructure and security team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone transitioning from an internship or early in their career to grow into a full DevSecOps role. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, learning to manage cloud infrastructure, automate deployment pipelines, and implement security best practices while contributing to our enterprise-grade systems. You’ll receive mentorship and hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies as you develop your skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with account management, license tracking, and monitoring across multiple platforms
- Support the CISO and senior engineers in implementing security and governance standards
- Help maintain and monitor CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Contribute to infrastructure documentation and runbooks
- Assist with server migrations and service deployments
- Monitor system health and respond to alerts under guidance
- Participate in improving observability across cloud providers and distributed systems
- Learn and apply security best practices in day-to-day operations
- Support containerized application management
Technical Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in IT, infrastructure, or DevOps (internship experience counts!)
- Eager to learn with a positive, can-do attitude
- Basic understanding of operating systems: macOS, Linux (Ubuntu or Red Hat distributions), and Windows
- Foundational knowledge of networking concepts: DNS, firewalls, basic security principles
- Google Workspace administration: managing users, accounts, permissions, groups, apps, security, SAML and SSO integration
- Experience with Git and at least one scripting language: Bash, Python, or similar
- Exposure to CI/CD concepts or tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiarity with Docker or containerization concepts
- Understanding of SSH and basic secure connection protocols
Nice to Have
- Academic or personal projects involving automation
- Experience with Google Workspace or similar enterprise productivity suites
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration concepts
- Understanding of certificate management and SSL/TLS
- Experience with repository managers like Nexus or Artifactory
- Knowledge of Maven or other build systems
- Any exposure to Cloudflare, AWS services, or identity providers
