## About Aletyx

Aletyx is on the **frontier of bringing traditional enterprise into the age of AI**. We blend **deterministic automation** with Generative AI on top of the proven foundations of Drools, jBPM, and Kogito, technologies we have shaped for nearly two decades. We offer a flexible remote environment where you can help shape what enterprise software looks like in an AI-native world.

## Role Overview

This role is no different from the rest of the company: it is also on the frontier. We are looking for a **Technical Writer** whose **primary audience is AI and agents**, with human users as the close second. Increasingly, people reach our products through LLM-powered assistants, copilots, and AI search, and the docs you write are the source those agents pull from. They must be authoritative, well-structured, and easy for AI systems to interpret.

You will document our full-stack products end-to-end, covering Java APIs and REST endpoints, user-facing GUIs, and AI integrations. This is a hands-on role where you read code, use the software, talk to engineers, and turn complex systems into clear, accurate documentation.

Our stack centers on **Java**, **Spring Boot**, and **OpenAPI**, and we also document products built on other frameworks such as **Quarkus**.

## What You Will Do

- Document our products end-to-end, from Java APIs and REST endpoints to user-facing features and AI capabilities
- Write user guides, tutorials, and reference docs across the Aletyx product family
- Write for AI agents so LLMs and copilots can surface accurate answers from our docs
- Install and use the software yourself, and verify your examples actually work
- Interview engineers and product managers to extract the “why” behind features
- Maintain release notes and help define documentation standards

## What We’re Looking For

**Required**

- 3+ years as a technical writer in software, developer tools, or API-first products
- Comfortable reading code. You do not need to write production Java, but you should be able to read a class, understand a method signature, and figure out what an endpoint does
- Some familiarity with **Java** and **Spring Boot**, enough to open a project and run a sample app
- Experience documenting **REST APIs**, including **OpenAPI/Swagger**
- Comfortable documenting products across different Java frameworks (such as **Quarkus**)
- **Writing for AI agents**: experience or strong interest in producing documentation that performs well when consumed by LLMs, copilots, and AI assistants
- Strong command of English, with clarity, structure, and precision
- Comfortable with Git and markdown-based documentation workflows
- Self-driven and able to operate independently in a remote, async-friendly culture

**Nice to Have**

- Exposure to **AEO**, **GEO**, and modern **SEO** practices for technical content
- Familiarity with rule engines (Drools), workflow engines (jBPM), or decision modeling (DMN)
- Experience with documentation-as-code tooling (Antora, Docusaurus, MkDocs, Hugo, etc.)
- Diagramming skills (Mermaid, PlantUML, Excalidraw)
- Background writing about AI/ML, LLMs, or GenAI concepts

## Why Join Aletyx

- Be the **first dedicated technical writer** shaping the docs experience of the entire Aletyx platform
- Work side-by-side with a senior engineering team on products used by enterprises worldwide
- Fully remote with high autonomy and competitive compensation

## Location & Work Arrangement

- **Location:** Brazil (Remote)
- **Work Type:** Full-time, Remote
- **Experience Required:** 3+ years as a technical writer
